AHA Heartsaver®- Workplace First Aid CPR AED Training
When an unexpected medical emergency or severe injury occurs on the job, the first few minutes before emergency medical services arrive are critical. The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED for Adults course delivers the targeted, science-based training your workforce needs to act decisively and effectively.
Why Heartsaver® Adult Training is the Ideal Workplace Fit
Designed specifically for commercial, industrial, construction, and corporate environments, this course equips your team with essential life-saving skills without unnecessary complexity. At Southeast Safety Partners, we bring authorized, instructor-led AHA training directly to your facility—delivering an engaging, hands-on experience built to beat digital fatigue, respect your crew's time, and protect your bottom line.
For the vast majority of workplaces—such as manufacturing plants, distribution hubs, construction sites, and corporate offices—your primary safety risk involves adult employees and visitors.
Focusing specifically on adult emergency care provides several distinct advantages for your organization:
Targeted Relevance: Every minute of instruction directly applies to real-world workplace scenarios, from sudden cardiac arrest at a workstation to severe bleeding on a job site.
Maximizes Retention & Training Time: By streamlining curriculum to focus on adult physiology and adult-specific equipment, your employees master critical skills quickly without information overload.
OSHA Compliance: Fulfills regulatory first aid and emergency response requirements, keeping your safety program audit-ready.
Immediate Confidence: Interactive mannequin practice and real-time instructor feedback ensure employees build true muscle memory rather than just passively watching a screen.
Comprehensive Course Breakdown: What Your Team Learns
The Heartsaver® Adult First Aid CPR AED course is divided into three core pillars:
1. Adult First Aid Basics
Prepares employees to handle sudden illnesses, traumatic injuries, and environmental threats commonly encountered on job sites:
Scene Safety & Assessment: Evaluating environmental hazards, assessing responsiveness, and activating emergency response protocols.
Medical Emergencies: Recognizing the early warning signs of heart attacks, strokes, seizures, diabetic emergencies, and severe allergic reactions (including EpiPen administration).
Injury Emergencies: Managing traumatic bleeding with direct pressure, tourniquet application, shock management, burn care, and splinting sprains or fractures.
Environmental Hazards: Identifying and treating heat exhaustion, heat stroke, hypothermia, and chemical or toxic exposures.
2. Adult CPR & Airway Management
Teaches high-quality chest compressions and respiratory support based on the latest AHA emergency cardiovascular care guidelines:
High-Quality Chest Compressions: Proper hand placement, depth (at least 2 inches), and compression rate (100–120 bpm) to maintain vital blood flow.
Rescue Breathing: Effective use of barrier devices and pocket masks to protect the rescuer while oxygenating the patient.
Choking Relief: Rapid response techniques for both conscious and unconscious choking adult victims.
3. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Operation
Demystifies AED technology so any employee can deploy life-saving defibrillation within seconds:
Safe and swift pad placement on adult victims.
